Risk Analyses
The risk analysis as part of a safety analysis serves to identify and assess the risks of systems and processes. Within the analysis all events which trigger off dangers are systematically identified and the scale of the ensuing risk is assessed. This process is based on a continuous risk management.
Your benefit:
The risk analysis facilitates the systematic identification and classification of all foreseeable dangers, which might occur under normal conditions within the observed system or process and its surrounding. The frequency of potential occurrence and scale of its effects are assessed for all the risks that have been identified. Then the risk for the whole system can be established for each type of danger.
In many cases it will be necessary to verify and update the risk analysis in the course of the various life cycle periods. This so-called continuous risk management is an essential aspect of your RAMS-management according to DIN EN 50126.
Result:
The most important result of your risk analysis will be the documentation of the individual risk in a so-called hazard log. Each line item of this matrix is classified into different risk categories, the classification being dependent on the type of use. The assessment and evaluation of the Safety relevant failure types is done by a qualitative review of the occurrence probabilities and their respective scale.
