With constantly increasing product and process requirements, the need for well-trained specialists in the field of reliability, maintainability, safety and LCC is also growing. From our experience, we know that companies often have to perform tasks at very short notice, such as
- Carrying out a hazard analysis or product safety analysis,
- Facilitation and development of FMEA,
- Testing and verification of the achieved level of safety (SIL/PL),
- Creation of RAM verification documents and safety cases,
- MTBF Calculation, FMEDA or Fault Tree Analysis (FTA),
- Determination of maintenance strategies and maintenance task intervals,
- Delivering an authoritative Life Cycle Cost (LCC) proposal.
For such tasks, the designated employees often have to quickly familiarize themselves with the subject matter. It is not uncommon for there to be errors or discussions, which may lead to expensive design and document reworks and in the end may put the project behind budget and schedule.
Over the last 25 years, a lot of developers or planners have attended our individual in-house training seminars or qualification courses.
We have often heard from our seminar participants, that due to the high workload they can only free limited time for external qualification.
This inspired us to offer the individual RAMS/LCC coaching program using online-based methods.
What does the RAMS/LCC coaching of the IZP include?
We guide your employees based on the pending project tasks and introduce the standards relevant to your industry (e.g. EN 12100, EN 13849, EN 61508, EN 50126, EN 50129, EN 60300, etc. ) in order to familiarize the coaching trainees into the practical methodology of the required RAMS/LCC work.
In this way, your staff will not be separated from the operational processes for training reasons and will be able to meet the requirements at short notice with a high degree of personal responsibility. We support your company in the implementation of specific internal and external RAMS/LCC requirements and, if necessary, carry out supporting research in coordination with your team to solve pending problems.
The “learning by doing” concept ensures application-oriented qualification and the long-term development of the necessary know-how for your tasks.
What approach do we use?
After concluding a non-disclosure agreement, we analyze at a reasonable flat rate the specific tasks that your staff should be entrusted with in the short and medium term.
On that basis, we determine the scope of the coaching and the schedule together with you.
We then support your employees until they have met the requirements placed on you.
At the end, we will give you a brief report on your experiences with feedback on the results achieved and recommendations for further qualification requirements and opportunities for improvement in relation to the necessary processes in the project.
The employees involved receive a certificate of participation with a reference to the work content mastered with the coaching and the necessary technical standards.
What are the advantages of RAMS/LCC coaching for trainees and companies?
Coaching ensures, that the additional effort required to familiarize yourself with the setup of relevant processes, procedures and documentation work (e.g. in the area of functional safety, as part of CE certification or the RAM and safety verification) can be kept to a minimum. The existing knowledge and skills of the employees are optimally used.
